What is the Loughrea Medieval Food Trail?
Forming part of the Loughrea Medieval Festival weekend, locals and visitors are invited to sample Medieval inspired food at local eating houses in Loughrea town throughout the weekend of 29th, 30th & 31st August 2014.
Friday 29th August 7pm | Lough Rea Hotel & Spa
Take a step back in time, and partake in an evening of Medieval inspired food and wines, merriment, music, and entertainment at the festival Opening Ceremony Medieval Banquet at the Lough Rea Hotel.
- Enjoy a drinks reception, and music with Harpist Aisling Costello.
- View Medieval Themed Photographic Exhibition by Loughrea Camera Club.
- Talk with Galway Hooker Brewery
- The winning ‘Best Dressed Medieval Shop Front’ will be announced on the night.
- A 20 minute choreographed fun combat show by Freelancing Knights of Redemption.
- Music following the four course meal by The Kings Of Connaught.
- Prizes for best dressed.
