Loughrea Medieval Festival as been approved for Community Tourism Diaspora Initiative 2015, with thanks to a joint partnership between Galway County Council (galway.ie), IPB Insurance (ipb.ie) and Fáilte Ireland (failteireland.ie).

The last weekend in August (28th-30th August) Loughrea will once again play host to Loughrea Medieval Festival. Organised by the Loughrea Medieval Festival Committee, this year’s theme is the ‘Gathering of the Clans’.

A large array of activities are planned over the course of the weekend, including the free family fun day – Loughrea Walled Towns Day at the Fairgreen Loughrea on Sunday, August 30th. View this years festival Loughrea Medieval Festival
